About the event

                                                                               About the Trek

The Bali Pass Trek is a highly challenging endeavor, not suitable for beginners. It requires participants to be physically fit to successfully complete the entire trek. Individuals with respiratory issues or altitude sickness are advised against undertaking this trek due to the high altitudes involved. During this journey, you will have the opportunity to join a remarkable group of fellow explorers. At Bike and Trek Adventure, we assure you that this experience will foster a bond, encouraging further mountainous expeditions together in the future.

The Bali Pass connects the picturesque Har Ki Doon valley to the Yamunotri valley, offering a thrilling and lesser-known trekking route in India. The trek presents breathtaking vistas of the nearby Himalayan giants, including Bandar Poonch, Kalanag, and Swargarohini, seemingly within arm's reach. The trail traverses through lush vegetation, transitioning gracefully into an alpine landscape. Along the way, you will encounter the quaint settlements of Sankri and Osla, providing a glimpse into intriguing local cultures. The path is adorned with vibrant alpine flowers, accompanied by the glistening reflections of the sky on the glacial Ruinsara river, leaving you awe-inspired.

The highest point of this trek is estimated to be approximately 16,241 feet, covering a total distance of 60 kilometers. The journey begins in Rishikesh and takes approximately 12 days (Delhi - Delhi) to complete comfortably, with accommodations provided. The recommended time to embark on this adventure is between May and June (pre-monsoon) or between September and October (post-monsoon). During summer, the daytime temperatures range from 15 to 20 degrees Celsius, while the overnight temperatures commonly drop to -2 to 5 degrees Celsius. After the monsoon season, daytime temperatures reach 12 to 20 degrees Celsius, with nighttime temperatures ranging from -5 to 5 degrees Celsius. October experiences significantly colder conditions.

September to October is the optimal period to attempt this journey, as the difficulty level decreases due to reduced snow and absence of rainy conditions. For those seeking a greater challenge, the pre-monsoon seasons are also an option. The adventure remains thrilling, thanks to the harsh weather and demanding routes.

The trek commences from the Sankri settlement, reached after a 220-kilometer journey from Rishikesh lasting around 7-8 hours. The first notable landmark is Debshu Bugyal, offering magnificent views of the towering Kalanag. As the altitude surpasses 15,000 feet, the challenging but rewarding Bali Pass base camp comes into sight. The Lower Dhammi through Bali Pass serves as the final camping spot, demanding a long and snowy trek. On the last day, trekkers ascend to Yamunotri and then follow the pilgrimage route to Jaan Ki Chatti. The following day, participants depart for Dehradun, carrying cherished memories.

Why wait any longer? Prepare your gear and register today with Bike and Trek Adventure for an unforgettable Bali Pass expedition in 2024. Transform your fantasy into reality by embarking on the Bali Pass trek.
